“Say It Loud: Simply Me” is the story of Felicia V. Loud’s love for music and finding her voice, at a time when children were to be seen and not heard.
Felicia explores her journey growing up as an only child in a single parent home in the 70s. From the North End to the Central District, Seattle was where her mother chose to raise her. Where they had to grow into knowing one another.
Directed by Marya Sea Kaminski, “Say It Loud” is a solo, powerhouse performance marking Felicia’s return to Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute—the first place she stood onstage to perform.
